> How many fingers can touch the panel simultaneously?
In theory, there is no such limitation. However, we suggest you not to use more than 10 fingers at once, since our sensor has not been experimented by 11-fingered people yet.
> Can the sensor detect anything else than fingers?
Yes, stylus, ball-points, toes, cat’s paw, etc. Basically any object (except blunt instruments) exerting a sufficient force.
> Does sweat modify sensitivity?
No. We even noticed that the touching sensation is more pleasant with sweaty hands, or when the sensor is slightly wet or greasy.

20 Newtons. A standard computer keyboard activation force is 80 Newtons.

Our kids love to cuddle their Lemurs.

Through JazzMutant, France.

> Is the Lemur’s multitouch sensor pressure sensitive?
No.

Much better than any computer and than most musical instruments.

No. We do our best to create new objects and improve the existing ones by making them always more flexible and configurable for the user. But if you have any suggestions or precise ideas for new objects, please feel free to let us know.
> I am not too keen on Star Trek. Can I customize the object appearance?
No, for the very same reason as above. Although some graphical property parameters can be set (size, color), objects are parts and parcels of the program and cannot be modified.

No, but you can still adorn your screen with any sticker you want.

Yes, one of the advantages of the Lemur is the possibility to name freely any object and message. You nonetheless have to conform to a certain amount of syntax rules.

No, it is not necessary to use this stratagem anymore to use MIDI.
> You said that Mac/Win versions of JazzEditor are strictly similar. So why do Windows XP users have to use a MIDI port emulator like LoopBe to receive MIDI data from the Lemur into their application?
Under MacOSX, MIDI application are fully considered as peripherals, like a master keyboard or an external MIDI interface. Software have input and output ports which enable
communication between applications. WinXP does not work this way. In order to have two MIDI applications communicate with each other internally, you will need a piece of software that emulates a virtual MIDI interface.

Yes.
